Nobel Heroes Forum · October 2026
Cross-disciplinary lessons from the Nobel Heroes Forum.
Listening to discussions spanning medicine, chemistry, economics, and physics was a reminder of how breakthroughs happen: not in isolation, but when deep domain rigor connects back to shared human problems. Meaningful science starts with humble listening and building for others.
Seeing healthcare innovation with Face AI brought the connections into focus: start with scientific evidence, use business to build something sustainable, and use technology to help it reach people. That is the intersection I want to grow toward.
A biomedical sciences student learning alongside engineering students, trying to make a drone wake someone up. The prototype wasn’t perfect. But electronics, computer vision, 3D printing, and working through problems together gave me new ways to think.
A neuroscientist in a business school. An actor helping medical students practise difficult conversations. A virologist studying bats to invent human therapeutics. TEDxNTU reminded me that learning across disciplines means being willing to step into another perspective — and making room for art, empathy, and curiosity along the way.
